Luke and Amy celebrated their wedding at the gorgeous Hanbury Wedding Barn, a venue they chose for its rustic charm, open bar area, and stunning countryside setting. With beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, it was the perfect spot for a relaxed and joyful day surrounded by family and friends.
A Glimpse Into Their Day
The morning started with both Luke and Amy getting ready at the barn. Everything felt calm and easygoing, with time for some fun groomsman photos out front before the guests began to arrive. The ceremony took place in the rustic barn space, full of warmth and personality, and followed by drinks in the garden, laughter, and lots of hugs.
Their day flowed beautifully into the wedding breakfast, where heartfelt speeches from the groom, best man, and father of the bride brought both tears and laughs. As the evening rolled in, more guests joined the celebration, the cake was cut, and the dance floor came to life after their first dance. A live band and photo booth kept everyone smiling late into the night.
Their Story
“I met Amy at her work- a nursery where I used to pick up my younger brother. I found out she liked me, asked her out on a date, and it all went from there.”
Their engagement took place in the heart of Rome, right outside the Trevi Fountain- a perfect spot for a romantic proposal. When it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted something rustic, relaxed, and full of personal touches. Hanbury Wedding Barn ticked every box.
Their advice for other couples planning their big day?
“Leave plenty of time. It’s stressful enough as it is, so much to do that you haven’t thought of. Start early!”
Capturing the Day
Luke and Amy booked myself to capture their wedding. With all the moments and group shots planned ahead of time, everything ran smoothly. They even arranged an awesome charcuterie board from their outside caterers for myself, showing just how thoughtful they were throughout.
